Yeah ... love you too, hon!

My husband looked at me this morning and said, "That's nasty!"  He truly sounded horrified.

Now, it's not that I just needed to brush my hair or anything.  I discovered as I was getting ready for bed last night that I was getting pink eye in my left eye.  Great!  It's worse this morning.  Double great!

This cold seems to be trying to settle into sinus infections and such ... and apparently it wants to make me look nasty, too.

I know some ways to treat it naturally.  I'm just trying to decide if I want to go the natural route, or call my Dr. and go the pharmaceutical route.

In the meantime, my eye hurts, I have to keep wiping it and washing my hands, and I look nasty!  Yippee for me ...

April

  1. That is horrible! Last winter my kids got it. One started with it and by the time everyone was done sharing and passing it back and forth we had pink eye in the house for 6 weeks straight! Oh the horror. Of course we had a 1 year old who couldn't understand not to rub his eye and touch everything and everyone else. Sigh. And the then 3 and 4 and 7 year olds, plus the newborn.

    I missed a lot of church. :)

  3. I had pink eye about 11 years ago. The oldest two girls had it and gave it to me. I was pregnant with our third daughter. I remember it hit during a shopping trip ... probably before Christmas. I couldn't stop wiping my eye and I felt bad because I knew I was leaving germs for pink eye on anything I touched. I tried not to, but ... it's hard. I was so glad to leave and go home.

  4. You didn't go into the natural treatment possibilities so I don't want to make any assumptions. I do want to encourage you, if youa re still lactating, to try breastmilk. I know, there are those who will say, Eewwww; but really, it works! Try it and if your eye is not doing better in 24 hours, then call your doctor. You can also sniff it (like a nasal spray) to kill the germs in your sinuses, if you think that's where the infection is or is headed. You probably already knew all this, but it's here just in case you didn't.

  6. I know I'm a little late to comment, but I would go both routes if I were you. Go to the doctor's and use some home remedies.

Thank you for the review on my books.

Could I have permission to reprint some of this review in my books and on my website and blogs?

    Thanks,
