Homeschool In The Woods' Olde World Style Map Sets

Have you ever tried searching the internet for a blank line map of a certain country?   Have you found them difficult to find at times?  Or the map you find only prints out as half the page, instead of a full page?  I've spent a lot of time doing that over my 10.5 years as a homeschooling mom.  I can usually find a map that will work, even if it's not always exactly what I hoped for ... but it takes time.

Homeschool In The Woods has created two sets of Olde World style maps.  The United States Maps set, and the World Maps set.  These sets include beautiful hand-drawn maps.  The World Maps set has 130 ancient and modern maps, and the United States Maps have 180 maps including individual states maps, as well as maps that show the expansion of the United States throughout history.  Each set includes notebooking pages to use when adding writing assignments to your history notebooks.

These maps are available as PDF Downloads, or on CD.  The files are arranged so you can either enter into the PDF file and load only the map you want into Adobe Reader, or you can use the HTML start page to view the Table of Contents in your internet browser.   The start page shows you the maps available, and you can select to view them with labels, without labels, or without titles.  Some maps also offer a fourth choice to view them without borders.

You can download samples of the World Maps or  samples of the United States Maps at the Homeschool In the Woods website.   This will allow you to see how well-drawn the maps are for yourself.

These maps are high quality!  I love having them all together in one convenient place on my computer.  My only complaint with the map sets was that there were not more historical maps in the World Maps set that would show changing boundaries during wars and over the course of time.  However, I know that is probably a whole other set of maps in itself.  Hopefully they'll develop a set like that sometime.

These Olde World style map sets are available for $18.95 each as downloads, or for $28.95 if bought together.  If you'd rather have them on a CD, they're available for $19.95 each, or for $29.95 if bought together.  Of course, then you have to pay shipping on the CD, as well.  The CDs are both Mac and PC compatible, and the only requirement is to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer.

These are great resources for the homeschool -- completely reusable, and suitable for all grades.  Visit Homeschool In The Woods to learn more about the Olde World Style maps, or to order!
