GIVEAWAY: Rebecca St. James' "I Will Praise You" CD

Title: I Will Praise You
Artist: Rebecca St. James

Label: Reunion
Format: Compact Disc
Price: $10.97
Releasing: April 5, 2011

Rebecca St. James has been one of my favorite musicians, ever since I first heard her music in 1994.  When my daughters began to gather their own music collections, they also named Rebecca St. James as one of their favorites.  Her music has grown and changed, staying fresh over the past seventeen years.

After a musical hiatus, Rebecca is releasing a new album TOMORROW!  This is her first studio project since 2005.  Our entire family was pleased to get a sneak peak at this new album, and to be able to offer our readers a copy of the CD, as well.  (Giveaway details at end of review.)

The new CD is titled I Will Praise You, and was recorded after a time of personal and spiritual renewal in Rebecca's life.  This album contains ten worship songs, five of which were co-written by Rebecca.  The remaining five are songs that Rebecca chose because they are especially meaningful to her walk with God.  This video shows Rebecca St. James explaining the story behind her new song "Shine Your Glory Down".

I Will Praise You is an uplifting and encouraging CD that glorifies God and points listeners to Him!  The music is strong and fits Rebecca's  contemporary pop style, but the lyrics are the really beautiful portion of this CD.   My two favorite songs are both ones that Rebecca wrote: "The Kindness of our God" and  "You Make Everything Beautiful".   I only knew one of the songs on this CD (and it happens to be one of  my favorite worship songs), which means I just learned nine new songs for praise and worship!

  1. Thank you for the chance to win this cd!

  2. I first heard RSJ's music in 1996, when our eldest son was adding to our music collection and got the album 'God.'

  3. We had heard of her before, but it was 6 1/2 years ago when I was planning Brittlyn's Rite of Passage that we "fell in love" with Rebecca! :0)

  4. Hey! This is actually the first Rebecca CD giveaway I entered. i figured I better start entering. I may just win one! lol

I don't know when I first heard her, but we listen to KLove, and the House FM all the time.

  5. I don't remember other than it was a long time ago. I don't remember if it was before 1994 or after. My daughters pretty muchly cleaned out my CD's as they left home. I am thinking that it was probably while we were in Panama, which would have been pre 1994.

  6. Oh, and I already follow you. :)

  7. It was when her song "God" came out. I've always enjoyed here music. :)

  8. * Larissa & I were blessed to see RSJ live, in concert, at Dare 2 Share, in Lincoln, Nebr., when I helped w/ church teens. ( Then = ) Youth Pastor James Helton loves her !

  9. I don't remember if it was 2001 or 2002 when I first heard her. I know it was after we moved west. I don't remember the name of the song but I liked it so well I bought the CD.

  10. I first heard of her when I started seeing all these giveaways! LOL! Actually, I've probably heard her music before, but I'm terrible with artist's names. I'd love to win the CD!

  11. My oldest daughter was a big Rebecca St. James fan when she was in middle school 10 or 12 years ago.

I love to hear from you. Thanks for your comment!
