Sometimes ...

Sometimes being a Mom means accepting a lovely bouquet of stinky wildflowers (sometimes known as weeds) and putting them in a vase in your kitchen.

Sometimes being a Mom means getting snotty kisses from a one year old.

Sometimes being a Mom means listening to your child pour out their heart, instead of asking them to go do their dishes.

Sometimes being a Mom means washing the dishes for all your kids because their weekend was busier than yours.

Sometimes being a Mom means falling asleep with a 3 year old on your chest in the living room after your husband has gone to bed, because the 3 year old needs help falling asleep.

Sometimes being a Mom means waking up with a toddler foot in your face.

Sometimes being a Mom means getting showered with hugs and kisses.

Sometimes being a Mom means one of your children gives up some of their chocolate, just because they know you like chocolate.

Sometimes being a Mom means not being heard at all.

Sometimes being a Mom means your words are the most important thing to your child's heart, even if they won't admit it.

Sometimes being a Mom means pushing through with Easter devotions, even though it feels like no one is listening and you're on the verge of totally losing your temper.

Sometimes being a Mom means you're the best cook in the world.

Sometimes being a Mom means you never cook anything good anymore.

Sometimes being a Mom is hard, or messy, but it's always worth it.
