Review: Cute and Cuddly Tiny Bear's Bible!

Tiny Bear's Bible definitely has a "cuteness factor" that brings a smile to my face. The exterior of this board book is wrapped in plush with a teddy bear face on the front. It's available with both a boy bear and a girl bear cover. The book is sized perfectly for little hands, too!

The text is written in rhyming verse, with each Bible story condensed to a single page poem. Sally Lloyd-Jones covers the stories of Creation, Noah's ark, Moses, David and Goliath, Daniel in the lion's den, Jesus' birth, Jesus calming the storm, the Lord's Prayer, Zaccheus, and Jesus' resurrection.  Each story ends with a reminder to the child that God cares for them, too.

Igor Oleynikov's illustrations complement Sally Lloyd-Jones' verses beautifully. The illustrations have a whimsical style that is both old-fashioned and modern at the same time. Each two-page spread includes a Bible illustration as well as an illustration of Tiny Bear and his family that helps the child relate to the Bible story. I often sit and enjoy the artwork after my child has wandered away.

These books are very durable! We've had a pink Tiny Bear's Bible for 5 years that still looks great. Our 9 year old passed it down to her younger sister a couple years ago, and she loves it as much as her sister did.  We gave this blue Tiny Bear's Bible to our 2 year old son and he enjoys looking at the pictures and laying his face on the fuzzy cover. He's a little young to listen to more than one story, but he loves to look at the pictures with us.

Zonderkidz has created a very special book for little ones! Tiny Bear's Bible makes a wonderful baby shower gift, birthday gift, or Christmas gift! We love both our Tiny Bear's Bibles.
